HELLO AND WELCOME…

After the success of “Legally Blonde” last year we are thrilled to be able to bring “Rock Of Ages” to Ruislip.

Set in the vibrant heart of 1980’s Los Angeles, "Rock of Ages" invites you to an exhilarating journey filled with classic rock anthems, electrifying performances, and a tale of love and dreams. Following the story of a small-town girl and a city boy who meet on the Sunset Strip, who are trying to navigate the highs and lows of life in a world dominated by rock music. Bursting with energetic choreography and an iconic soundtrack featuring hits from legendary bands like Journey, Bon Jovi, and Foreigner, this musical brings the spirit of the rock era to life.

The original Broadway production ran for 2,328 performances, making it the 29th-longest running show in Broadway history. Since then, it has spawned replica productions worldwide in Japan, Australia, and the west end among others, as well as several touring productions and a 2012 film starring Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand and Catherine Zeta Jones.

The cast have really reacted well to this show and I couldn’t be more proud of each and everyone one of them. This is not an easy show to produce, as you will see by how hard the cast work on stage. Tonight is the result of blood, sweat and tears and just 18 rehearsals which is crazy considering the kind of show it is. I’d like to thank the cast for grabbing this show with both hands (and feet) and giving it all they have. I honestly believe that the Starlight experience is very special, we are a team and we support each other on and off stage.
We only rehearse once a week to allow for a life outside of the group.

As always, Starlight wouldn’t be complete without our tech team and stage crew, who are all vital to the production and I thank them for all their hard work.

Special mention has to be given to Katie, Tim and Dan who are integral to Starlight’s longevity.

After “Rock Of Ages” we will be taking a much needed breather, but will return in January to continue the rock theme as we begin rehearsals for “We Will Rock You”
This will take place in May 2026. With incredible songs this will be great fun to rehearse and perform.

If you’d like to be a part of our group fill out an enquiry form here.

Thank you for coming tonight, I know you’re in for a great show; join in, clap and cheer as much as you like, the cast deserve all the praise they get.

Enjoy the show!

COME AND JOIN US FOR OUR NEXT SHOW?

From January we will start rehearsals for our 2026 musical “WE WILL ROCK YOU”.

”We Will Rock You" is a rock musical inspired by the iconic music of Queen, featuring a score that includes many of the band's greatest hits. Set in a dystopian future where music is banned and creativity is suppressed, the story follows a group of rebels who strive to reclaim their freedom through the power of rock. With its energetic performances and memorable songs, the musical celebrates individuality and the unifying force of music, delivering a message of hope and resistance that resonates across generations.
